Sarah Youse

Sarah is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience working with a broad range of individuals, children to adults. She has effectively counseled persons dealing with various challenges in life including anxiety, depression, obsessions and compulsive behaviors, impulsivity, inattentiveness, anger, emotion dysregulation, picking/pulling behaviors, social skills, body image, confidence, and life stressors.
Sarah earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) at Kutztown University and has worked in
settings such as child/adolescent psychiatric hospitals, psychiatric day programs, public schools, private homes, and outpatient setting programs. Sarah is trained and uniquely skilled in using different treatment modalities that include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution Focused, Perceptual Retraining, Habit Reversal skills, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Sarah’s therapy style is described as encouraging, accepting and goal oriented. She provides an outlet for individuals to share emotions and strengthen resilience. She highlights individuals’ self-worth, guides through completing tasks, while learning to live a values-based lifestyle. She teaches stress management skills, coaches through confronting fears, assists with reframing unhelpful thought patterns, educates about sleep hygiene, and promotes accountability to overcome barriers in life. Sarah engages in reflective listening, teaches active coping, practices mindfulness, improves decision making and increases communication skills. She focuses on the importance of self-compassion and how to manage impairing symptoms safely and positively. Sarah also provides supervision to the next generation of social workers and offers guidance to fellow therapists.
When not working, Sarah enjoys outdoor activities such as soccer and beach time. She uses her free
time to spend with her family, friends, and her two canine companions. Her rescue dog, Zella, is a
certified therapy dog through TDI and will make appearances in therapy sessions. Sarah has also
dedicated her time to fostering dogs. Her goal is to get certified in Animal Assisted Therapy. Sarah looks forward to supporting and empowering you through challenges you might be facing.
